Our client is an Industrial Distributor specializing in PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Safety Products, Power and Cutting Tools, selling into many industries like mining, aerospace, construction, manufacturing, etc. They are looking to bring on a Branch Manager / Sales Manager in the greater Phoenix, Arizona area.
You will be responsible for directing all sales, operational activities for their branch location in Phoenix, AZ. You will be responsible for the execution of sales strategy, developing customer relationships and ensure satisfaction through operational excellence. Responsible for hiring and training/development.
You will also be responsible for:
For P&L and inventory/accounts receivable. Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT), return on investment capital (ROIC), and return on sales (ROS) goals.
Operational oversight and excellence in inventory management procedures.
Manages all employees either directly or through their supervisors.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet service, financial, and operational support demands. Effectively utilizes training programs to develop sales and operations expertise.
Initiate and build customer relationships with existing and new customers.
Act as liaison to functional leadership to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
Monitor local market trends. Develop and execute strategies to grow local market share and aggressively pursues business opportunities.
Work closely with vendors to maximize sales and increase profitability.
Maintain compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure environmental health and safety and regulatory responsibilities are followed.
What your career experience will have:
Ideally they would like you to have a BS/BA. An advanced degree may offset less experience.
Ideally 7+ years of experience in wholesale distribution.
Exposure to Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
Experience using computer/software systems to manage day-to-day operations.
