In this position you will ensure the support and sales of our clients product portfolio to project owners, project managers, architects and engineers, and dealer/installers within the industry segment in the region, including Life Sciences, High Technologies, and Heavy Industry Segments. The KAM –Industry will coordinate activity with the Generalist Sales Team in the Region, acting as Subject Matter Expert.

Due to an upcoming retirement, our client is looking to hire their next Industry Key Account Manager (KAM) for the Northeast Region. In this position you will ensure the support and sales of our clients product portfolio to project owners, project managers, architects and engineers, and dealer/installers within the industry segment in the region, including Life Sciences, High Technologies, and Heavy Industry Segments. The KAM –Industry will coordinate activity with the Generalist Sales Team in the Region, acting as Subject Matter Expert.
Essential Responsibilities:
- On average, you will achieve 15 weekly visits to our End Users (60%), A & E firms, and General Contractors
- Promote product portfolio by calling on key accounts
- Promote and achieve specification of products by calling on End Users and specifiers such as Architects, Engineering firms, Interior Designers, Contractors, Builders, i.E., any person or company that may be a decision maker/influencer in the specification in the industry segment
- Support sales team, ensuring a proper understanding of targeting key strategic stakeholders and the product portfolio’s benefits and applicability within the industry segment
- Support strategic channel partners in promoting and selling solutions
- Understand competition within segments to propose proper pricing within categories and projects
- Organize and present CEUs and “lunch and learn”sessions with specifiers in coordination with the local sales team
- On an ongoing basis, keep precise records of significant projects and stakeholders in the region concerning the targeted market segment, using CRM platform
- In alignment with the local sales team, participate in trade shows and events
- Provide market intelligence concerning competition, distribution, product trends, standards, etc.
- Contribute ideas to the product portfolio development and marketing support teams to enhance efforts within the industry segment
- Arrange and attend customer visits
- Working with the Tech Service team, participate actively in local complaints/claims and field tests within the industry segment
- When applicable, perform post-sale service follow-ups, maintenance demos and project photography
- Manage and control expenses within budget
- Travel up to 30%. Region is Maine to Pennsylvania. 75% of business is in the greater Boston, MA area, so ideally we would like you based in this area. However, we will accept candidates that are located in the greater Philadelphia, PA area (however that will increase travel to 50%)
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or similar or equivalent education and/or experience within Cleanroom Industry.
- Five (5) years of experience in Controlled Environment sales and specification and with a long-term business with multiple decision-makers
- Experience in the Segment with key accounts network is preferred
- Computer skills, including CRM
- Strong communication skills
